The forum on the CPRO website is a facility provided by the CPRO, primarily to enable members of the CPRO to share views and information .

Registration
The username you use to register must be your FULL NAME e.g. John Smith to ensure that members are correctly authorised for posting on the Forum. It is also important that we are able to contact you directly if your posts are the subject of a complaint from another member or cause concern to the moderators or editors.

You may not impersonate others by signing up with their name. These registrations are liable to be deleted.

Posting
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material that is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, threatening, racist, sexist, invasive of a person's privacy or otherwise illegal.

Personal attacks on other members are not permitted. The moderators can and will lock threads/delete posts as necessary.

Posts should be appropriate to an audience of all ages. There is a filter for obscenities and you shouldn't attempt to override that by means of replacing portions of offensive words with other characters.

Spelling and grammar
We encourage forum users to maintain a high standard of English. Text-speak should be avoided.

Spelling errors in thread titles will be corrected, both to maintain the standards of the site and to facilitate use of the search facility.

Please do not post thread titles entirely in lower case (for example: 'where can I find a plumber?'). If a thread title doesn't have an initial capital letter, we will edit the message.

Advertising and commercial messages
Advertising and self-promotional messages are not permitted.

If you are in doubt about whether your message is suitable for the forum, please check with us first.

A classified advertising section is planned for this site in the near future; please do not use our forum as such.

Please be honest about your affiliation to a business or organisation that you write about on this forum. If we have reason to believe that you are using a pseudonym to promote your own business on the forum, we reserve the right to remove your posts and/or ‘name and shame’ you on the forum. You have been warned!

Monitoring and Moderation
We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, comprehensiveness or usefulness of any message and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this forum or any entity associated with this forum. Any user who feels that a message on the forum is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately using the “Report this post link” that appears at the bottom of each and every message. We will review the relevant message as soon as practicable and take action if necessary.

Considering the 24-hour availability of this forum, it is impossible for us to review every message or confirm the validity of information posted. The website editor and his colleagues (the moderators) actively monitor the forum but cannot be online at all times.

Moderators have the right to move, delete or edit posts as they see fit. Posts will be moved if they haven't been made in the relevant forum. They may be deleted/edited if their content is inappropriate.

The CPRO may edit, restrict access to or remove any message, posting or any other material for any reason whatsoever without giving notice at any time.

The editor and moderators' decisions are final and all members should respect this.

Privacy
We log your IP address every time you post on the forum but do not publicly store any personal data in or linked to the forum.

We guarantee that details you supply to us will never be released without your permission to a third party without legal action.

If you have a suggestion about how the forum or other parts of the website can be improved, please visit the Feedback section of the site or e-mail the website editor.

If you have a complaint about message content, please e-mail the website editor.
